What started as a consulting project has become a life’s calling for founding member Dr. Mark Kantrow and his partners, Matthew G. Rachleff and Kevin R. Lyle. Naveon® was created in 2014 with a commitment and goal to provide a supportive, user-centric framework for some of life’s most difficult conversations.
Mark Kantrow, M.D., Co-Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Mark has been the Medical Director of the Palliative Care Program at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana since founding the group in 2006. Prior to that he was a Hospitalist in the Department of Hospital Medicine at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center (2000-2007), and spent 6 years as a Hospitalist in the Department of Inpatient Medicine at Ochsner Clinic of Baton Rouge (1994-2000). In addition to his role at the Lake, Mark serves as Medical Director of Hospice in His Care, 2004-present. He has a sincere interest in the art of communication and patient and family-centric care. Since founding the Palliative Care Program at the Lake, Mark has grown the department to include both inpatient and outpatient clinic services, a clinical team of four doctors, three nurse practitioners, two registered nurses and an interdisciplinary team of social workers, chaplains, an ethicist and child life specialists. The Palliative Care Program now sees more than 1,700 new patients a year, in addition to educating hospital staff and other physicians in essential generalist palliative care skills. Mark has also participated in the development palliative care programs in three other health system hospitals. Mark received his B.S. from Vanderbilt University, and his M.D. from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine. He is licensed by the Louisiana Board of Medicine, is Board Certified, American Board of Internal Medicine 1994, 2004 and 2014 and Board Certified, American Board of Hospice and Palliative Medicine 2008.
Matthew G. Rachleff, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Matthew is a seasoned executive with a passion for engaging audiences on complex, socially responsible topics that have the capacity to improve experiences and outcomes. In 2012, Matthew co-founded I-MPACT with Kevin Lyle, working with for-profits, non-profits and foundations to develop new platforms and campaigns to amplify their brand promise and support business objectives. I-MPACT specialized in connecting with audiences through well-defined user experiences and thoughtful, engaging content. As a former attorney, Matthew brings a unique mix of analytic and creative skill sets. He has deep experience in brand management and in translating business requirements into creative platforms. Matthew began his career at Ogilvy & Mather’s eBusiness consulting group, then transitioned to the entertainment industry, overseeing some of the most successful campaigns for major movie studios, television networks and video game publishers. Since moving to Baton Rouge four years ago, Matthew has served on several boards, including Capital Area United Way and City Year. Matthew received a B.A. from Cornell University, an M.Phil from Cambridge University, and a JD from Columbia Law School.
Kevin R. Lyle, Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Kevin is an accomplished executive who served as CFO and CIO of LCR-M Corporation, a wholesale plumbing distribution business, as it grew from $16 million in sales to over $450 million. During his tenure there, he led the creation of a centralized inventory management module, as well as an order entry system tailored for use in a large call center. Kevin subsequently started several businesses, including I-MPACT with Matthew, through which he has consulted with organizations on fundraising, strategic planning, board governance, director development, finance, investments, Executive Director/CEO evaluation as well as systems evaluation, design and implementation. Over the years, Kevin has served as Chair of the Board of Directors for five non-profit organizations, most recently on the Baton Rouge Area Foundation, where he has also served as Chair of the Investment Committee. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and is Chair of the Finance Committee of the Atlantic Theater Company in New York City. Kevin was a magna cum laude graduate from Louisiana State University with a B.A. in Political Science.
